Are you struggling with depression? Are people telling you to “pull yourself together” but you’re not able to, if only it was just as simple as doing as you are told.
Maybe you feel the pressure is just too much, that you’re going to explode if you don’t release some of it, and that self-harming seems the way to relieve the tension.
Or it could be you get anxious and overwhelmed. Changing situations terrify you and your life is now very limited by what you can do, and where you can go.
Perhaps it just hurts. You don’t know what to do, your family have tried and given up on you, the doctors are not sure what you need, and in the meantime you’re screaming, inwardly, hoping that someone can hear you, and they know what you’re going through.
Just Listening to You is a voluntary community group; here to listen and support you by providing self-help guides based on personal experience.
All Members have personal experience of mental health difficulties – some of our members live with ongoing difficulties, other have had difficulties in the past and have recovered:
The mental health issues we address include:
Depression, Anxiety, Self-Harm.
As well as being here for you, in this “online format” sharing knowledge, information, techniques, useful contacts for you if you are in desperate need of help outside of office hours; we also provide group support in the form of monthly meetings – where you can come along and listen to specially selected speakers – all of whom have experienced mental health issues at one point or another in their lives.
